Jacob (1791–1866) & Josef (1814–1884) Kohn, also known as J. & J. Kohn (Est. 1849) were a father & son furniture maker and interior designer based in Vienna, Austria in the middle of the 19th century. They rapidly became one of the leading manufacturers of furniture in the Austro-Hungarian empire. Kohn collaborated with renowned artisans of the Wiener Werkstätte and in particular, Josef Hoffmann.
In 1914, Kohn merged with Mundus which in turn was acquired by Gebrüder Thonet in 1921 making them world’s largest furniture manufacturer at the time.
